Episode 07: Dry Ice Ice Baby

Alright stop, collaborate, and listen to this video about dry ice. Frozen carbon dioxide (dry ice) is a tool people have used for decades. But, have you ever stopped to think about what it is? We have a few experiments you and your family can do at home.

To play along with us you'll need:

• Dry Ice

• Mixing bowls (3)

• Vase (or a graduated cylinder...if you have that laying around)

• Food Coloring

• Warm Water

• Dish Detergent (we use Dawn)

• Glycerine

• Ice cream ingredients from either of the recipes from this link.

There are plenty of ways to make a smoke bubble machine, but here is one set of instructions. Dry Ice is very very cold and can burn you if not handled properly. So, can hot water. Make sure you have an adult to help with these experiments.
